worthless studios was founded in 2016 by native new york city artist, neil hamamoto. worthless studios was founded on one idea - to help artists begin their careers. whether that is providing tangible or intangible assistance, the studio has begun to showcase work from new artists in a number of different mediums including sculpture, painting, photography and performance. located off canal street in manhattan, worthless studios spans 1800 square feet and can offer its artists studio space, exhibition space, a wide selection of tools and materials, a full darkroom, and art storage.
worthless studios is about being an invisible platform of aid. our artists’ needs and goals will always come first and in an amalgamation of our artists’ work comes the brand of the studio. the worthless studios entity tries to remain out of the equation in order to bring more value to the artworks and art careers being fostered within. it is fundamental that the worthless studios brand remains worthless but our artists’ experience is invaluable.
